The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Fighters Group

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a diverse cast of characters, and a gripping narrative showcasing angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Note: Spoilers for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.

The Warrior Group Revealed

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to begin their independent quest, distinct from the remaining groups.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Overture, weaving together the individual narratives before splitting into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the developments of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the team has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose demise initiated the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, entering Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and fled to a secure base in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the region and advises that it is a hostile environment.
  • Tyranny and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their position as important members in House Halovar could assist the group enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by the family.

This results in them few options but to journey toward Timmony in search of Casimir.

Future Episodes

Based on episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the combat party won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight participants to assemble the Questers and Schemers groups.

Fans can expect discovering which adventurers will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, streaming live on October 24.
